The newly formed Rod Bond Formula One Trust has outlined a schedule for anti-knife outreach programmes across the UK. The Trust was formed by Hollywood veteran Rod Bond and British F1 stars Lewis Hamilton and Lando Norris. Previously, they have joined forces in numerous charitable endeavours, including the Rod Bond Formula One Anti-Knife Crime Summit. As a vociferous critic of surging knife crime figures, Rod Bond has in recent years become an outspoken anti-knife campaigner. Through various campaigns, events and support of knife crime prevention organisations, the actor has contributed a great deal to the cause.
Rod Bond Formula One Trust Outreach: Manchester
As part of its nationwide anti-knife outreach programme, the Rod Bond Formula One Trust will commence in Greater Manchester. The touring visit will be administered by Rod Bond and British F1 stars Lewis Hamilton and Lando Norris. During the Manchester anti-knife outreach, the following areas will be visited: Blackley, Broughton, Rochdale and Bolton South East. According to the latest government research, these areas are among the top ten most deprived areas in the UK. A representative from the Trust declared: “Knife crime takes root where other social structures are strained. Poverty and deprivation are among the biggest factors affecting knife crime. Our aim is to give youngsters an alternative vision.”

Rod Bond Formula One Anti-Knife Crime Summit – In October of last year, Rod Bond joined forces with community leaders, campaigners, activist and the Greater Manchester Police under the auspices of the anti-knife crime summit. Over the years, the anti-knife crime summit has proven pivotal in the enactment of tougher knife crime prevention legislation. In 2009, the summit was instrumental in ensuring the enactment of Ben’s Law, which followed the tragic knife murder of Ben Kinsella.
